jobs are hard to come by
Hello,
My name is William Rhodes. I am 37, in a happy relationship with my soon to be wife Laura, we have our own company and live a fairly simple life. I obey most laws. I'm honest and hardworking everyone I meet seems to like me and most my old jobs would give me a good reference. So why is it so hard to get jobs, get trust, and just get people to see I'm not that person I was before who drank and drugged all the time and got 5 DUIS a drug charge and about 26 arrests for little misdemeanor crap. So I wasted 5 years of my life in Montana state prison for a felony DUI. Not all at once mind you. I did a year, was out for 7 months, then did 2 years, got out for 6 months and then went back for my last 27 months. Now I wouldn't of had to do all that time if I would of followed the conditions of my parole but I wanted to drink so I discharged my sentence on July 31st 2011.
so im a free man getting a fresh start in life, right???
not that easy. seems like 75% of jobs run a backround checkor want you to have steady job history. well when your in and out of prison and jail your job history goes up the creek. also jobs want a guy to have a D.L.. my struggles are just beginning this will be a long road.
If you would like to help a guy trying to get things in life better. as I speak now its oct 2014 and I have made it 3 years working fastfood and construction. havent been able to get d.l. back and still cant get apt.
